ATTENTION!
In your homepage, in Reunions updated, to click there you end up in 2003 General Santos P.I. 7/26-28/ NDDC Campus. Is it June 26-28 or July 26-28? because 7 is for July and you mentioned always month of June. Just concerned.

I was just surfing the net and accidentally landed on this nice website. Looks like its been made and designed in the USA. I have schooled in Notre Dame just for a short time. Had to quit due to poverty. Wala may pangmatrikula unya wala pa gyuy allowance. Somehow my good looks got me out of misery. Married a rich cebuana and lived happily ever after(hopefully). I hope to attend the reunion in June 2003. I am still good looking as ever and I am sure my short time classmates will still be able to recognize me. Long live the notre dameans and mabuhay!!!

Congratulations Chris Gammon! You did it again! For those of you who visit our website regularly, I hope you open the new UPDATED REUNION link. There are important details about the "Uwi Na Damean" reunion 2003. As you already know, Notre Dame of Dadiangas will be celebrating its 50th birthday next year (1953-2003). As we receive more photos from alumni who recently went home to our beloved hometown, we will be posting more photos of GenSan taken by them. So keep in touch, keep your eye on the website and let us know if you're taking that homeward bound flight with us in June 2003. Cheers, Prima

WE JUST GOT BACK FROM GENSAN FROM OUR WONDERFUL VACATION WITH MY CHILDREN. IMAGINE PREPARED GOURMET FOOD ALL THE TIME,AND BEING WITH MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS MADE IT A PERFECT ONE.I WAS SO GLAD THAT FLIGHTS NOW ARE ACTUALLY FASTER COMPARED 4 YEARS AGO IT ONLY TOOK PAL 13 HOURS TO FLY FROM SANFO TO MANILA .MANILA AIRPORT WAS A GREAT RELIEF WE DONT HAVE TO GO OUT OF THE ROAD FOR OUR NEXT FLIGHT FOR GENSAN ITS IN THE SAME BUILDING,AND THEY ALSO HAVE COMFORT ROOMS FOR BABIES FOR CHANGING DIAPERS AND SO FORTH.WHEN WE ARRIVED IN GENSAN THE SECURITY IS PRETTY GOOD THEY WERE STRICT WITH BAGGAGES MORE METICULOUS COMPARED HERE.ANYWAY,I HAD A CHANCE TO EAT OUT WITH MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS,AT KANTO A BARBECUE PLACE, THE BEST TASTING SAUCE I'VE TRIED,AND ALSO AT ABI'S ORIENTAL CUISINE,I THINK I ATE ALL THERE APETIZER IT WAS THAT GOOD.AND VERY AFFORDABLE,THANKS BAGE FOR YOUR TREAT.IF U REALLY WANT TO ENJOY GENSAN NEVER MISS THEIR BEACHES YOU HAVE TO GO EARLY BEFORE THE ABU SAYAF WAKES UP.TO SUM IT UP IT WAS A TRIP OF PLEASURE AND FUN .NOTHING COMPARES LIKE GOING BACK TO YOUR HOME SWEET HOME.THANKS TO CONNIE DIGNADICE,ADA AUGUIS,JUVY RIVERA,JANICE LIM,ABI VELAYO,& ATE ANGGA.

i just came from gensan on a very short visit (overnight). after almost nine years, gensan has really come a long way. the new airport was right where we use to have a ranch and were i was brought up to get healthy of fresh goat's milk and fresh eggs. the meeting with bro. willy was very enlightening and very re-assuring. the short tour of the city was most educational,(gensan has one the widest road i've seen in the philippines) and the city is just vibrant and defiant of those seeking to bring it down. most of all, my old gang, bitoy gonzalez, bong bonggolto, marlo laurente, jun lucero were still the same old fun-to-hang-out with guys. if you guys were missing some pets before,....oh just forget it.
so my verdict? if you don't come on 2003, you'll be missing the most important turning point of gen. santos city's history, my triumphant return. onwards "buklurang notre dameans" and let's all go to "uwi na damean 2003".

Thanks for the information about the 2003 Reunion in Gensan. It`s my first time to visit your website and a great feeling to see the names of my former neighbors Lannie Zerrudo-Gamman and Baby Martinez. I did enjoy, too, reading the Dameans` messages...It`s impossible for me to attend the 2003 Reunion in GenSan, because we still have schools during that time. Also, i have already sent the new programs of my asian cooking courses for next year... (Pilar Palacios Pe and Sol Santos Cuenco) Kabalo dyud mo sa among summer vacations here! Anyway, balitaan n`yo na lang ako. By the way, what about planning the next reunion here in Europe? There are also many Dameans here, especially in Germany. You know this, too , Lulut (Palacios Chan). Hello everybody!

We just had our meeting yesterday for the 50th Golden Jubilee.
Prima told us that, maybe, through the website, you could help us locate some of our classmates now in the US.
We will be having our 25th (Silver) Jubilee this December 29.
The following are now in the US: Dr. Jope Lapore, Dr. Ma. Rosario Venerarcion-Lo, Dr. Oliver Yumang, Orland Yumang, Rene Baladiang, Arturo (Inchong) Yap.
In case you may ask, we are members of Batch '77 (High School).
We have also merged all the Notre Dame High Schools in General Santos for this reunion.
So if anybody of you happens to know anyone from our batch please notify them.
I have created an e-group where we could communictae faster: nddc-lagao1977@yahoogroups.com
Thanks for the help

My name is Edmund Marco and it's a pleasure to sign your guest book. I work for an advertising agency in London. Our agency represents direct marketing companies that are involved in the marketing of products as seen on TV in England. Most of the infomercial products come from the U.S. but then again we export our talents as well. My brother has appeared in infomercials in the U.S. advertising various products. I think it's hilarious that English people respond so well to American products while Americans tend to respond well to sales people who have an English accent!

Just heard from a little birdie that you are celebrating your 18th birtday on May 20. Can we all come to your condo for the big birthday bash? Dear ND Alumni,

Thanks for visiting our website. Invite all your classmates and other members of our Notre Dame Family to visit us. We will be posting valuable information regarding the upcoming 50th birthday bash for Notre DAme of Dadiangas (College, High School Boys and Girls, and Elementary department alumni).

In 2003, Notre Dame of Dadiangas will celebrate it's 50th birthday. Check out our history link to find out more about the humble beginnings of Notre Dame Schools in GenSan.

In a capsule: 1953...Notre Dame of Lagao was "overflowing" with students who came from all over GenSan and neighboring towns. The "children of Dadiangas" were provided with a "bus" (truck used to haul sacks of rice/corn) for transportation to attend Notre Dame of Lagao. Bro. Joseph Damian Teston, decided that an "extension" school would ease the problem of NDL's overpopulation and having to transport those kids from Dadiangas-Lagao five days a week. Notre Dame of Dadiangas was born. It started as a coed school and it's first graduating class was composed of boys and girls who received their high school diplomas in March 1956.

In 1959, Notre Dame of Dadiangas College was born and the Marist Brothers built their own college campus at its present location. The NDD High School Boys Department was moved there and a co-ed elementary school called "Training Department" was established.

The Dominican Sisters were invited to take over the Girls' Department at the campus where it is now located.

We are inviting every NOtre Damean from both departments--Boys and Girls, NDL and NDD to get involved. Spread the word. Thanks.

Hi guys! You might want to check out the pictures taken during the KALILANGAN FESTIVAL 2003! Join http://groups.yahoo.com/group/kalilangan and click on the photos section. Kalilangan Festival annually celebrates the foundation anniversary of General Santos City. It is a week long festival which culminates every February 27th. I was the Chairman of this year's Festival. More pictures will be posted soon. By the way, the task force that Bro. Greetings all, Having just returned to the U.S. from Gensan, I wish to update all on the situation in Gensan. There is NO SITUATION in Gensan! The people are so wonderful and accommodating. My father-in-law & I have met with the Mayor, and members of the city council several times and they are eager for all that wish to visit their delightful city. I traveled freely through the city with no problems (though one must always use common sense while on vacation). As some know, I was at the last reunion in the U.S. where I had the great fortune to meet Bro. Willy. I plan to relocate to Gensan with my lovely wife Hearty Tancinco (daughter of Ligaya Tancinco Remarez Huffman, and niece of Jung Remarez). I am looking forward to teaching Anthropology at the college. I hope to meet many more of you in 2003. Peace be with you. Your friend, Ray Powell

The most unfair thing about life is the way it ends and we'll just have to console ourselves that death is a cycle of life. My heartfelt sympathy to the Hoyumpa family.

Happy New Year everyone!

The officers and members of Notre Dame Alumni Association USA would like to extend our heartfelt sympathy to San Hoyumpa. San's wife Ellen who attended our reunion in NEw Jersey died of cancer last December. Please include the Hoyumpa family in your prayers. Thank you.

We would like to congratulate Dr. Anastacio Hoyumpa, the recipient of the Presidential Clinical Excellence Award given by the medical school where he works and sees patients. Tash or Nong Tacio as he is fondly called, spearheaded the project to start a Hepatitis clinic there.
Notre Dameans are proud of you.

Plans are underway for the 2003 reunion in Gen. San. Stay tuned for details.

May 2002 be a blessed and peaceful year for everyone. Cheers, Prima
